Ant Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 Hi I have a 1996 "P" reg 1.9 diesel galaxy and I would like to know what type of engine I have ie does this have the PD system or not. I also would like to know if the type of fuel line of this year would be suitiable for biodiesel as I have heard that if it has rubber lines they will not last. I have looked at the lines but not sure if the hoses are made of rubber or a different material how could I tell the difference? any further info would be greatfull Thanks Quote

big_kev Posted November 3, 2007 Report Posted November 3, 2007 I am fairly sure that all MK1 Diesel Galaxy's will run fine on 100% biodiesel. ( proper biodiesel from rape seed )....not sure about sunflower or soya oils. However you may need to drop to a 50% mix in the winter if you wnat the engine to start. There is no issue with any of the hoses they will all be fine with Biodiesel. The MK2's from 2004 on may have issues with biodiesel and I would seek further info. on this. Quote
